Adam Matthew Kipfer, age 46, formerly of Peoria, passed away on July 22, 2024 in Tucson, AZ.
Adam was born in Peoria, on March 9, 1978 to Steve Kipfer and Regina Spalding. He attended school in Peoria and graduated from Peoria Notre Dame High School. For many years he worked as a pharmacy technician in Peoria and Chicago. He moved to Chicago to be near his mother. He assisted in her care as she battled cancer.
Adam loved baseball, whether it was cheering for his St. Louis Cardinals or strategizing on the several fantasy leagues he participated in. He also loved to travel the country visiting many places that peaked his interest, especially when it came to attending concerts at many different venues.
Adam was a kind and generous soul. He never hesitated to do whatever he could to help a friend in need. He was always empathetic toward those who were the less fortunate among us. He contributed personally and financially to causes he deeply believed in. Even when he was suffering and in pain, he never lost those values. Adam's love and concern for his family that he expressed before he passed away will be in our hearts always. The family wishes to express their gratitude to LeeAnne Howard. She was Adam's very close friend which she demonstrated right up to the end.
Adam was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his mother, who he was completely devoted to.
He is survived by his father Steve (Cindy) Kipfer; sister Heidi (Scott) Cali; his favorite nephew Charlie; brother Aaron Kipfer; one stepbrother and three stepsisters; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services will be held later in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials in Adam's memory be made to NAMI, 101 Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60606.
Friends and family are encouraged to log onto www.wrightandsalmon.com to sign the online guestbook, submit photos and share Adam's memorial page via social media.
