Adam Thomas Lofton, 37, passed away on July 3, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 8, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford. The funeral service celebrating his life will take place immediately following the visitation, beginning at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Coleman Funeral Home. Interment will occur in Orwood Cemetery (267 County Road 354 Oxford, Mississippi 38655)
Adam was born on May 31, 1988 in Oxford, Mississippi to Leslie K. Foust, and the late Thomas Jerald Lofton.
He was dearly loved by his friends and family. Adam was a wonderful husband and dad who put his wife and children above everything else. He worked hard every day, always trying to make his family proud.
Adam had a special bond with his mom, often referred to as her loving "mama's boy." He would go above and beyond for her and his sisters. Life with Adam was never dull; his infectious laughter and playful spirit made every moment brighter.
As a devoted Alabama football fan (of course, against the wishes of his Hotty Toddy family), Adam celebrated the thrill of the game with unmatched enthusiasm. He was also a jack of all trades, using his many skills to lend a helping hand to friends and family whenever they needed it, even if he had to learn how to do it from the internet.
Adam leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in his absence; his beloved wife, Anna Lauren Lofton of Oxford; three children: Avery Grace Lofton, Lillian Reyna Lofton, and Colton Kever Lofton all of Oxford; mama, Leslie K. Foust (Angela) of Oxford; step-mother, Tonya Lofton of Water Valley; two sisters: Allie Branch (Audie) and Ginny Kate Lofton (Trent) both of Oxford. one brother, Joey Fortner of Pope; one step brother, Robbie Abbott (Peyton) of Oxford; one step sister, Brittany Shirley (Miles) of Water Valley; six nieces: Ancel Branch of Spokane, Washington; Laurie Branch of West Galicer, Montana; Maecy Branch of Oxford; Mattie Walker of Oxford; and Addy Shirley of Water Valley; five nephews: WJ Hannaford of Oxford; Charlie Branch of Oxford; Brayden Fryar of Oxford; Cooper Abbott of Water Valley; and Jack Shirley of Water Valley ; three aunts: Penny Hart (Dale) of Oxford; Gail Watts (Andy), of Oxford; and Debbie Lofton of Calhoun City; seven cousins, Megan Renfrow of Dover, Ohio; Jessie Renfrow of Oxford; Johnathan Huber (Ryan) of Nashville, Tennessee ; Pete Waller (Racheal) of Oxford; Kimberly Jacobs (Allan) of Oxford; Brandon Lofton (Erin) of Oxford; and Erick Lofton (Lauren) of Jackson.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Jerald Lofton; and his grandparents: LK and Vonda Foust, and Jerald and Joy Lofton; his aunt Sheila Lofton Gann; uncles Frankie Lofton and Randy Renfrow.
