Adam Christopher Schupp, 33, of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 4 at the Indianola First United Methodist Church, with burial following in the Indianola IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Adam was born on October 11, 1991 in Des Moines, Iowa to Chris and Karen Schupp. Adam spent the first 5 years of life in the Woodward Granger area before moving to Indianola just before his first year of kindergarten. He enjoyed baseball, basketball, and Cub Scouts as a child. He graduated in 2010 from Indianola High School, where he lettered in football and basketball. He also was active in band and German Club.

Adam earned a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Central College in Pella, Iowa and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Waldorf University in Forest City, Iowa. Adam relocated to Roswell, New Mexico in 2018 and worked for L&F Distributors until the time of his passing. At L&F he was praised by his coworkers for his strong work ethic, dedication, attention to detail, and being a solid friend.

In his free time, he enjoyed following the New York Yankees and especially the Iowa State Cyclones. He rarely missed an "all guy's night" with his friends and coworkers and was known to have "the guys" reschedule guys night to accommodate an ISU football game. He was a very passionate weightlifter, winning a couple of medals from powerlifting competitions. He also would never turn down an opportunity for a good game of cards, especially 4-point pitch while enjoying a Busch Light with family or friends. Anyone who spent time with Adam could expect laughter and good-natured banter. We will miss seeing his infectious smile and hearing his laughter. Our hearts are breaking as God took him too soon.

Adam is survived by his parents, Chris and Karen Schupp of Indianola; brother, Devin Schupp of Cedar Rapids; grandmothers, Peggy Schupp of Pilot Grove, MO, Louise Reth of Manchester; aunts and uncles, Randy (Lynn) Schupp, Russ (Dianne) Reth, Shirley Reth; cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jerry Schupp and Robert Reth.

Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, October 3 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Memorial contributions may be made in Adam's memory to Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes or the Indianola Athletic Booster Club.

I got to know Adam during our time at Central, he was a student strength coach for the football team. He was incredibly passionate about many things but especially weight lifting and motivating athletes to get the most out of their workouts. He was a great person and will be truly missed.
