Adam Sebastian Jr., a devoted husband, father and grandfather, of Casco Township, passed away peacefully from a long-term illness on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born on October 5, 1951, in Detroit, MI to Adam J. Sr. and Madeline A. (Kralik) Sebastian. Adam was raised with a strong sense of faith, family and dedication that would guide him throughout his life. He was the beloved husband to Marianna (Dombrowski) Sebastian for 52 years, with whom he shared many years in building a faith-filled and loving home.
Adam grew up in Richmond, Michigan on his family's farm where they grew many vegetables and raised pigs. Adam graduated from Richmond High School in 1969. Soon after graduation he attended college and trade school. Adam worked for various Tool & Die companies throughout the years. Adam and Marianna were married at Holy Cross Catholic Church in 1972 where they were parishioners for over 50 years and are currently parishioners at Immaculate Conception. In 1974, Adam built their family home in Casco Township. Together, Adam and Marianna dedicated their lives to their family, establishing a welcoming home to four children and forty-one foster children over the years. Adam's love of sports, especially the Detroit home teams, was passed on to his sons and grandchildren as a cherished hobby that brings family together. He always enjoyed game night with family and friends, especially playing Dominos. Adam was a loving father who was never afraid to tell his children he was proud of them and how much he loved them. He and Marianna taught their children the importance of living their Catholic faith and hard work, which was demonstrated by the large garden they annually planted together.
Adam is survived by his loving wife Marianna, children, Virginia (Eric) Drummond, Adam III (Kimberly) Sebastian, Kevin (Leslie) Sebastian and Bryant (Ashley) Sebastian. He was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren, Adam IV, Hannah, Rebecca (Caleb), Elise, Ryan, Mya, Noah, Olivia, Chase, Joseph, Lydia, Claire and one great grandchild on the way. Brother to Priscilla (John) Hayes, Martin (Anne) Sebastian, Lawrence Sebastian, and Gerard (Lucy) Sebastian. Dear brother-in-law to Virginia (Hazen) Baumgartner and Stephanie Smith, and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Adam Sr. and Madeline Sebastian, his parents-in-laws Stanley and Beatrice Dombrowski, and his sister-in-law Ann Sebastian, leaving behind a legacy of family unity and love.
Visitation for Adam will be on Monday, March 31 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a 7:00 pm rosary service at the Wasik Funeral Home, 35259 23 Mile Rd. New Baltimore. Instate on Tuesday, April 1st from 10:30 to 11:00am. With a Funeral Mass at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 9764 Dixie Hwy. Ira Township. Immediately following mass will be a committal service at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Marine City.
May he rest in peace, knowing he left behind a legacy of faith and family that inspires all who were blessed to be part of his life.

My name is Paige and I am a CNA at the village of east harbour. I had the pleasure of taking care of Mr. Sebastian while he was in long term care. Immediately, him and his wife were so sweet, polite and kind. Adam always made us girls laugh with his witty jokes. His children, whom are also very kind and polite always showed gratitude for the care their dad got. It really sadden me when I went back to work and heard the news.

To his wife and kids I will be keeping you guys in my prayers during this time.

To Adam, I miss you already. Rest peacefully
