ADDISON LE ROY BROWN, 38, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, October 7, 2025 in Columbia, SC.
Born in Augusta, GA to Catherine Greenhill Brown and the late Stephen L. Brown, Addison was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation. He grew up in Aiken, SC and Arlington, TX. After high school, Addison joined the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of Sergeant in Special Operations before receiving a Purple Heart and medically retiring.
He graduated from the University of South Carolina and was currently living in Grovetown, GA.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa Poirier Brown; six children, Austin Brown, Katie Brown, Ella Brown, Reagan Brown, Larkin Brown and Addison Brown; four step-children, Gracelynn Hopkins, Grayson Hopkins, Lawsyn Query and Alexzander Query. Also surviving are his mother, Cathie Brown, Aiken; aunts and uncles, Teresa Roberts (James “Red”), Aiken, Stanley Brown, Aiken and Craig Greenhill (Mary), Jacksonville, FL.
The funeral service will be held from the graveside in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta, GA, Monday, October 20th at 1 o’clock with The Rev. Dr. Brad Willis officiating.
