Adele Rose Durante

Adele Rose Durante (née Tilli) passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at the age of 98.

She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Maria Tilli, wife of the late William Durante, sister of the late Jean Madrigale, and sister of Lucy Canning.

Adele is survived by her 2 children: William (Lisa) Durante and Denise (John) Gambale. She leaves behind her 4 grandchildren: Andrea (Dave) Swede, William (Kim) Durante, Janet (Mike) Anderson, and Donna (Steve) Kuzma, and 6 great-grandchildren: Courtney, Emma, Michael, Alex, the late Victoria Adele, and Brooke.

She was a long-time resident of Port Richmond who lived in the same house for 87 years. Because she took such pride in her childhood home, it wouldn't be unusual to see her outside scrubbing her white marble steps if you were to drive or walk up Almond Street.

Adele enjoyed planting flowers in her back yard and also loved baking and cooking. Her family always waited for her big pot of "gravy" and meatballs just to get together for a meal. She made dozens of her famous cookies and pizzelles, especially during the holidays, and loved to share them with her family and friends.

Although she lived a long life and blessed us all with many years of fond memories, her presence in our lives will be deeply missed.

Friends and family members are welcome to offer their condolences and attend her funeral services on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home located at 10975 Academy Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment and committal service to immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA.
