Joan Marie Wiley

Joan Marie Wiley who lived in Smyrna DE, died peacefully on January 15, 2026 at the age of 89 surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Joan was born in Philadelphia, Pa, was a long time member at St Columba Parish and graduated from Hallahan High School. Joan was a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother as well as aunt, cousin and friend to many. She was an administrative assistant throughout her working career within the technical services areas at the Philco Corp, International Paper and WinPak Portion Packaging companies.

Joan is survived by her husband, Louis Wiley, her 2 children Joan Morrison (Mark) and Robert Wiley (Teresa), her 5 grandchildren Lisa Sullivan (John), Stephen Wiley (Jill), Bob Wiley (Brooke), Sarah Weldin (Josh), Meaghan Morrison and her 5 great grandchildren Sophie, Ella, Caden, Parker and Owen.

Joan is predeceased by her parents William and Julia Lally, her sister Helen Schmidt, her daughter Regina Wiley and her son Stephen Wiley

Joan's legacy is one of kindness toward everyone she met, character strength, love for her family and friends and unwavering faith in God. Her physical presence with all who knew her will be missed dearly but we take comfort knowing that this 'sweet lady' is with God in eternal peace and happiness.

Family and friends are invited to Joan's Life Celebration on Friday, January 23rd, 2026 at St Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19114, from 10 -11 AM. A funeral mass will follow at 11am. Interment services at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Joan's name to the Delaware Hospice Center, whose loving hands cared for her in her final days.
