I worked with Adele at CDLC. She was a mentor to me as a new teacher. She had such a genuine, loving way with the children. "Hands are for loving, " she always told the children. And they listened! One parent who had four boys told Adele she could not retired until she taught her youngest boy. Adele did teach all four of her sons. As a lead teacher at CDLC all teachers counted on her support. As lead teacher she had the dubious job of washing all the towels we used in the week. I jokingly called her the bleach queen. What a gift it has been to have known and worked with such an incredibly gifted teacher and the kindest, gentlest person.
