Adele Bock Lawlor

Adele "Del" (Bock) Lawlor passed away on September 18, 2023, due to complications of Parkinson's disease. Del, born in Bristol, PA and raised in Croydon, PA was a long-time resident of Levittown, PA until moving to Chalfont, PA three years ago. She was known as Sis to her siblings.
Del worked for Bell Telephone Company in Langhorne until her marriage to Robert F. Lawlor, who was in the U.S. Army. During their 48 years of marriage, they lived on various military bases in Colorado, California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Germany. Upon Bob's retirement from the U.S. Army, they returned to Pennsylvania to be close to the family that she loved so dearly. Del was a stay-at-home mom until her children were grown at which time she returned to work. She worked for Woolworth's for many years in several positions from human resources manager to assistant to the regional manager at corporate headquarters. Upon the closing of Woolworth's, Del worked in the human resources office of Broder Brother's until her retirement. In her youth, Del enjoyed going to the Langhorne Speedway, playing softball, and bowling. She loved traveling, playing games, Christmas and setting up her beautiful Christmas village every year. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and loved ones. She especially looked forward to family picnics and get togethers. She will be remembered for her off beat sense of humor, her generosity towards others, and especially the love she had for her family.
Del was preceded in death by her husband, her father, Russell Bock, mother, Agnes (McGovern) Bock, sisters Winifred Tavernier, Thelma R. Downing, Elizabeth Schade, brother Edward Bock, and granddaughter, Jacqueline M. Lawlor. She is survived by her children, Catherine M. McGarry (Nino De Jesus), Thomas M. Lawlor (Alicia), Nancy E. Shaw (William), Gregory R. Lawlor (Patricia), grandchildren, Paula A. Culp (Greg), John Ryan McGarry (Megan), Sara M. Lawlor, Emma S. Lawlor, and great-grandchildren, Maya A. Guzman, Cameron R. Guzman, Leah N. Guzman, and Braeden G. Culp. She will be sadly missed by her brothers, Theodore A. Bock, and David A. Bock (Betty) and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to Del's visitation on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 10:00am - 12:00pm at Molden Funeral Chapel, 133 Otter Street, Bristol, PA 19007. A funeral service will begin at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
The family would like to thank the staff at New Seasons New Britain Assisted Living Facility in Chalfont, PA for the love and care they provided to their mother during the past three years.
