Adelia Azar Obituary
Adelia Mae Azar (nee Steinmeyer) entered into rest on Thursday, December 11th, 2025 at the age of 93. She was the cherished wife of the late Charles Azar, proud mother of five sons- Greg (the late Christine) Azar, Mark (Marcia) Azar, Jerry (In Son) Azar, Chris (Darlene) Azar, and Tim (Esther) Azar. Her family continued to grow with 11 grandchildren - the late Heather, Kellie, Erin, Shannon, Matthew, Michelle, Melissa, Megan, Sarah, Michelle and Melissa; and 25 great-grandchildren - Andrew, Olivia, Georgia, Lucas, Finn, Emma, Todd, Hayden, Audrey, Ezra, Mila, Suzy, Maria, Henry, Lydia, Louisa, Madison, Casey, Tommy, Peter, Simon, Ruth, Seraphina, Jace and Clarke, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. She was the loving sister of Rose Bray and Michael Steinmeyer.
Adelia's home was always filled with laughter, kindness, chocolate chip cookies, and hot cocoa. She loved to play bingo, craft, and tending to her houseplants. Above all, her greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved, and her presence will be deeply missed. Adelia was faithful and strong in her Christian faith, serving her Lord at St. Anthony's Church in Camdenton, MO at the Lake of the Ozarks where she spent her retirement years.
Adelia's legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to family. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her joyful smile, and the warmth she brought into the lives of all who knew her. May her memory be a blessing.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 21st from 4-8pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral Home. Memorial Mass on Monday, Dec. 22nd at 11am at St. Justin the Martyr (11910 Eddie & Park Rd, St. Louis, MO 63126). A private interment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
