Tim Silver

Timothy Joseph Silver, 65, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on

Monday, March 16, 2026 passed gently in the presence of his loving family.

The beloved husband of Lisa Silver (née Meyerkord) for 30 years; cherished father of

Rachel and Jack Silver; dear brother of Greg (Sharon) Silver, Mark (Mary) Silver and

James "Rhino" (Andrea) Silver; dear son-in-law of Gary and Linda Meyerkord; dear

brother-in-law of Greg Meyerkord. Tim was preceded in death by his parents Lester and

Amelia Silver and brother, James. Tim was a loving uncle, great uncle, cousin and

friend.

Tim worked in multiple stores and positions at Schnucks Markets. Tim made many

lasting friendships in his 42 years of employment that lasted beyond his retirement in

2020.

Tim loved playing and winning at cards, watching sports and horse-racing, and

collecting coins. His love for the Chicago Cubs and the Blackhawks gave him much

enjoyment but was an easy mark for friendly rivalry over the home teams. Above all,

Tim was immensely proud of Rachel and Jack and loved his family dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial gifts to WORTH Industries, a non-for-profit

sheltered workshop in memory of Tim Silver.
