Adrian Antonio Beaulieu,88 of Rochester, NH passed away peacefully on Saturday April 5th, 2025, at Watson Fields Assisted Living Home in Dover, NH.
He was born on August 7th, 1936, in Van Buren, Maine to Joseph and Alvina (Violette) Beaulieu.
After graduating from Holy Rosary High School class of 1956, he enlisted in the United States Navy. From 1956 to 1960 he served on three different ships: The USS Loeser (Destroyer Escort), The USS Hale (Destroyer), and finally the USS Tringa (Submarine Rescue). After serving four years in the U.S. Navy, Adrian continued to serve via a new career at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Initially entering as a welder, but after attending the University of New Hampshire advancing to a Health Physicist with the RadCon Divison where he retired in 1993.
Adrian took an active role in the community as part of the Somersworth Rotary Club where he was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow, and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was rarely at rest as many passions kept his evenings and weekends full. As a skilled craftsman, he hand-built a sailboat where upon he spent many days on the water of Great Bay. He also built a kayak, rowboat, and a second smaller sailboat as part of a family project through the UNH Marine Program.
In retirement, he enjoyed being outside splitting wood or gardening before embarking on a new passion as a master carver. He became known for his detailed and realistic bird carvings. His passion for carving went to new heights over a 30-year span as he expanded to ducks, loons, caricatures and more. In October of 2020 his work was featured on NH Chronicle in an episode titled Carving for Cancer, and also in Woodcarving Illustrated Magazine. Adrian crafted and donated over 3,300 comfort birds for the Oncology Department at Wentworth Douglas Hospital.
Adrian was never scared to take on new opportunities and any home repair project was welcomed as the next challenge. He had incredible patience, and always made time to help others in times of need. He had a thirst for knowledge and would often spend spare time researching topics of interest or reading nonfiction books. His legacy will carry on forever reminding us to embrace new challenges.
Adrian is survived by his loving wife Nora of 58 years, and his two children Denise presently residing in Rochester, NH, and David of Dover, NH. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his two grandchildren Alexa of Washington DC, and Hayden of Northwood, NH. He is also survived by his brother Leo, Norman & wife Joanne, Ronald & wife Jeanne, and three sisters, Gisele Stone, Linda Rouleau & husband Roger, and Vi Batterbury & husband Jim.
Adrian was predeceased by his father, Joseph, his mother, Alvina, and his brother Roland.
Services: A memorial service will be held at Saint Mary's Church, 71 Lowell Street, Rochester, N.H. on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Visitation at 10am to be followed by 11am Mass. Burial to take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Grondin Funeral Home, Rochester, NH.

Adrian was such a kindhearted man who always was willing to assist and encouraged coworkers in Rad Health. He was also the person who began my journey on financial securities and investments and for that I´m truly grateful.
My sincere condolences to Nora, Denise and David

Adrian was always there to help with any project. Never had to ask, he was just there. Like when we built our house on Labrador Rd. 4 or 5 times a week he there a bit was much appreciated. He was a very talented and giving person.

Sorry to hear of Adrians passing, I enjoyed working with him for a number of years at the Shipyard, and talking to him each time we crossed paths during the years after we both retired. His bird carvings were amazing, very lifelike, he was truly an artist. R.I.P. Adrian.
