Adrian Earl Dowdy, 90, of Pearland, Texas Thursday, September 4, 2025. Adrian was born in 1935 in Flint, Texas to Dock Roth and Erma Lee Dowdy. He grew up in the East Texas area before the family relocated to Channelview, Texas. Adrian was a proud veteran who joined the United States Marines in 1953 not long after his 18th birthday and went on to serve eight years with time stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He spent some more time serving in the United States Marines Reserves until approximately 1973/ Outside of the military, he was a medical supply store manager for Edwards Medical Supplies in Galveston, Texas. He later worked for Gulf Western Construction as a diesel mechanic and then went on to be an independent truck driver delivering goods across the United States. He eventually went to Motorcyle Mechanics Institute for Harley Davidson Mortorcycles and was certified as a Harley Davidson Mechanic. He worked for Stubbs Cycles on Telephone Road in Houston, Texas before retiring. Adrian loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles and enjoyed working in his garage on motorcycles, cars and trucks. He and his wife, Nadine, enjoyed many motorcycle road trips before her death in 2000. They were very involved in the Christian Motorcycle Association. Where they spent time with motorcycle friends on road trips and at events. Adrian was an active member of Providential Baptist Church in Pearland and a proud member of the American Legion Post 554. He is preceded in death by his wife of 19 years Nadine Schiller Dowdy, and his son Nathan Dowdy. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Dock Roth and Erma Lee Dowdy and his four siblings, Jr Dowdy, James Dowdy, Morris Dowdy, and Joyce Hines. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Pardue and husband Don of Beaumont, and son Kent Dowdy and wife Tammy of League City. He had five grandchildren, Stefan Smith, Forrestt Smith, Seraphina Pantoja-Smith, Emily Serrano and husband Matthew, and Brittany Martinez, as well as four great-grandchildren, Alizayah Gracia and Briley, Brissa and Jency Jr. Martinez. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Faye Robins.
