Adrian "Ed" Hoenig, 89, died on March 25, 2025. He was born on April 27, 1935 in Cullman, Alabama to parents George & Anna Hoenig.
Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Seery) Hoenig. They were married on January 2, 1960 after meeting while Ed was stationed at the Nike base in Spring Valley while serving in the Army. After being discharged, he opened his own business, Ed's Greenbush Garage, in West Nyack, where he worked until he retired in 2005.
When Ed wasn't working, he enjoyed traveling with his family to Alabama & Florida in the station wagon. Eventually, he upgraded to a Motor home and would travel to Cape Hatteras, Rhode Island and Florida, where he enjoyed fishing. The family even took a 5 week cross country trip to California.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, he was a Eucharistic Minister and participated in Nocturnal Adoration for many years. He was also involved in Marriage Encounter and made life long friends through their Image Group.
He is survived by his five children, Robert (Amy), Richard (Susie), Diane (Richard), James (Brandi) and Brian (Joanne). He is also survived by his Grandchildren, Kimberly, Amanda, Samantha (Emory), Danielle, Matthew (Hailey), Ryan, Mallory, Stephanie (Thomas), Aries, Mackenzie, Bronwyn (Ben), Gabrielle, Joseph, Thomas, Alice and his great granddaughter Bailey. He is survived by his sister Joan (John) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers George and Ben, his sister Therese and his granddaughter Megan.
