Adrienne Denise "A" McCutchen

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Adrienne McCutchen (affectionately known as "A") on December 20, 2025 at the age of 68. Adrienne was born on November 2, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,to the late Claire Johnson and Lloyd Johnson. She was the cherished only child of her parents.

Adrienne received her education in the Public School System of Philadelphia and graduated with her high school diploma from Olney High School, where she also met the love of her life Anthony McCutchen, and the two were united in marriage on November 17, 1984. Their union was blessed with four children: LaMar, LaTasha, LaVoy, and LaVaughn.

The family relocated to Dover, Delaware in 1986 where Adrienne worked for Ballys Casino (formally known as Dover Downs) as a security guard for 10 years. She later worked for the Capital School District for 23 years, ultimately retiring after a long and dedicated career.

Adrienne was a loving, kind soul and a natural nurturer. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Whether it was watching movies, especially those featuring Bruce Lee, John Wick, or the Friday series, enjoying a quiet day with her husband Anthony, or hosting BBQs by the pool, Adrienne lived life to the fullest, always surrounded by the love of her family.

On the early morning of December 20, 2025 Adrienne peacefully passed away, and God whispered to her, "Job well done." She is now at eternal peace in the arms of her Creator.

Adrienne leaves behind her loving husband Anthony McCutchen of Dover, Delaware and their four children: LaMar McCutchen, LaTasha Boatwright, LaVoy McCutchen, and LaVaughn McCutchen. She will be deeply missed by her 10 grandchildren: Kam'Ron Jay'Mere, LaMar, and Brayden (LaMar's children); I'mani, NaV'onte, and son-in-law Norman Boatwright (LaTasha's family); Aniyah and Brendaliz Valentine (LaVoy's family); SeTareh, Zendaya,A'Kaiyah and daughter-in-law Aujanna McCutchen (LaVaughn's family). She is also survived by many other family members and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be made via www.pippifuneralhome.com.
