Agatha Anna Haselhorst

Agatha Anna Haselhorst, 99, of Taos, Missouri passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Auburn Ridge Living Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 5, 1923, near Westphalia, Missouri; a daughter of the late Joseph and Katie (Baumhoer) Fechtel. Agatha was united in marriage on March 28, 1951, to the late Anton Haselhorst in Westphalia.
She attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Westphalia, Missouri. Agatha was a devout member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos, and was a member of the St. Ann's Sewing Circle. Agatha worked side by side with her husband in the operation of the family egg farm. She was self-employed, making custom draperies for many years. After retiring she loved to piece quilt tops and quilt with St. Ann's Sewing Circle, and played a major role in planning the quilt auctions for parish picnics. She loved to play cards, sequence, rummi-kub, and work sudoku puzzles. Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandma and great-grandma who will be dearly missed.
Agatha is survived by her children; Sharon Haselhorst of Jefferson City, Frank Haselhorst (Patricia) of Jefferson City, John Haselhorst (Kathy) of Taos, and Ruth Fisher (Rich) of Wardsville; grandchildren: Christopher Rademan, Laura Bowen, Emily Rademan-Meyer, Amber Purcell, Camille Haselhorst, Bethany Brandt, Nikki Kresl, JJ Kresl, Jason Haselhorst, and Toni Haselhorst; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her siblings; Anna Fechtel, Rosie Redel, and Herbert Fechtel; and son Elmer Haselhorst.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. David Cox officiating. Interment will be in the St. Francis Xavier parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Ann's Sewing Circle at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
