Agnes Ann Brown, 87, of Evansville (formerly of Oakland City) entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Agnes was born in Oakland City, IN on January 3, 1938, to Phillip and Kathleen (Zimmerman) Eyer.

After graduating from Oakland City High School in 1956, Agnes met and fell in love with Donald Ray Brown Sr. The two wed on September 8, 1956. Agnes then joined Don on his journey with the U.S. Air Force, blessing him with 3 sons and a daughter along the way. After discharge from the USAF, the couple returned to Oakland City to continue their 39-year love story and raise their 4 children. The pair found happiness spending their time playing golf, going dancing, playing cards with friends, and traveling.

While married and raising 4 children, Agnes went on to graduate from Beauty College, eventually owning her own beauty shop in Oakland City. She continued her passion of doing hair for many years. She ultimately retired, but remained the beautician for her kids and grandkids.

Through lifelong mutual friends, Agnes was introduced to Don Williams in August 2002. Having both lost their spouses, the pair were blessed with another chance at love and companionship. Agnes eventually decided to move to Arizona where she resided with Don for several years, enjoying new adventures like hiking in the mountains and deep-sea fishing in Cabo San Lucas. After returning to Indiana together in 2011, they continued to find happiness traveling, playing golf, gardening, and taking country drives with their fur-baby. Don remained a loving and dedicated companion, taking wonderful care of his "Hunny."

Agnes is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Don Brown in 1995, sons, Jeffrey Scott Brown in 2012 and David Lee Brown in 2013, and daughter, Lori Ann (Brown) Waite in 2022. What a joyous reunion they will have!

She was also proceeded in death by brothers Jim and George, sisters Beverly, Mildred, and Sue, as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Agnes leaves behind her significant other of 23 years, Don Williams, her son Donald Ray Brown Jr. (Jean) of Evansville, stepson Jase Williams (Sherry) of Sierra Vista, AZ, stepdaughter Kristine Gregory (Jim) of Chandler, AZ, son-in-law Darwin Waite of Ft. Branch, sister-in-law Karen Brown of Evansville, 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her loyal and furry companion, Suzie.

Agnes will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind. She was a social butterfly, never too shy to strike up a conversation with a perfect stranger. Spending time surrounded by family and friends brought her immense joy and happiness. To know Agnes was to love her.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the wonderful staff at the Linda White Hospice House for the care and dignity provided to Agnes in her final days.

Visitation will be held at Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel from 4 pm til 8 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2025 and from 10 am til service time on Friday, August 29, 2025. The funeral service will be on Friday, August 29 at 12 pm with Pastor Darin Nossett officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City, Indiana.
