Agnes "Aggie" De Matteo

DE MATTEO, Agnes "Aggie" (nee Pagano), age 90, a lifelong resident of Paterson, died on October 20, 2025. Agnes was gifted and talented enjoying many career paths, but her greatest accomplishment was being the caretaker of her grandchildren once they were born. She is predeceased by her parents, Mae Dillion and Sabino Pagano, and her siblings, Benito Pagano, Amedio Pagano "Chubby", Italia Rapp "Cookie". She is survived by three beloved daughters, Danelle Pagano, Cindy Stevens and Christine DeMatteo, six cherished grandchildren, Gia Caruso, Anthony Caruso, Samantha St. Onge, Ashley Delaney, Lindsey Spicer and Deanna Stevens, and four adored great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her Godson, Jimmy Rapp with his wife Jody and their children, Jimmy, Joey, Jamee, Jaylynn and Joleen. The Memorial Visitation will be 12 to 4 on Saturday, November 1, 2025 with a 3:30 pm chapel service. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations to the Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge.
