Agnes Ann Howe, 79
Agnes Ann Howe, 79 of Polk passed away peacefully in her home, Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
She was born on July 3, 1943 in Lagrange, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Edrie Elizabeth (nee Crooks) Nichols.
Ann married the love of her life, Curtis Dean Howe on December 22, 1962.
She retired after more than 25 years from Mapleton Local Schools where she was a special needs bus driver.
Throughout her life, Ann was an avid reader, who enjoyed flower gardening, working crossword puzzles, cooking, and entertaining family and friends in her home.
She is survived by one daughter, Kari J. (John) Lindecamp of Columbus; two sons, C. Drew Howe of Wooster and Tyler B. (Anne) Howe of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, Colten Howe, Keaten (Hannah) Howe, Alex (Brandon) Kithcart, Drew Repuyan, Sean Repuyan, Isaac Howe, Lucy Howe, and Hudson Lindecamp; three great grandchildren, Koda Howe, Paxton Kithcart, and Toby Worley; three brothers, Wesley Charles Nichols of Kent, Glen Nichols of Fountain Valley, California, and Richard Nichols of Huntington; and a sister-in-law, Roxie Nicholes of Rochester.
In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Curtis Dean Howe who passed away on November 18, 2022; two brothers, Gene Nichols and Pete (Lenore) Nichols; and two sisters, Ede Speece and Jane (Jim) Flannigan.
An interment services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at the Polk Cemetery. Please join the family in a time of gathering following the service from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Legacy Room of the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home for a meal and time of fellowship celebrating both Ann and Curtis' lives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland Council on Aging, 240 East 3rd Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
For those unable to attend, online condolences may be shared on the funeral home's website at denbowfh.com.
