Sister Agnes Jeanise Law
NOVEMBER 23, 1975 - SEPTEMBER 13, 2025
Sister Agnes Jeanise Law was born on November 23, 1975 to the union of the
Betty Jean and Ulyess Law in Mobile, Alabama. Agnes was a woman of strong
faith, deep compassion, and quiet strength. With hearts full of love and gratitude,
we celebrate the life of Agnes Jeanise Law, who entered eternal rest on Saturday,
September 13, 2025 at the age of 49.
Agnes attended John L. Leflore High School and was a proud graduate of the Class
of 1995. She continued her education going on to attend Texas Southern University
in Houston, TX. There she laid the foundation for a lifelong career in healthcare.
She devoted many years of service to Springhill Hospital, working in both the
dietary department and the nursing field. Her compassion and dedication led her to
become an occupational therapist, helping countless individuals regain their
strength, dignity, and independence.
Agnes loved the Lord and was a faithful and dedicated member of Revelation
Missionary Baptist Church, where she served joyfully in the Healthcare
Ministry. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Her life was marked by a sincere love for the Lord and a heart for service. She
loved to travel, explore new places, and learn new things. Her joyful presence,
warm smile, and steady encouragement uplifted everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in rest by her parents, Betty Jean and Ulyess Law; paternal
grandparents: Berry Law, Sr. and Agnes Cox-Law; maternal grandparents: John C.
Sewell and Inez Burrell-Sewell; and her sister, Jacqueline Yvette Sewell.
Agnes leaves to cherish her legacy and precious memories, her loving brother,
Ulyess Jonathan Law; sister, Joyce Marie Sewell; two nieces: Janel and Jasmine
Sewell; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, as well as dear
friends, church family, and classmates.
