Floyd Jones Jr. was born on March 13, 1938, to Louise and Floyd Jones Sr. He has a strong belief in Jesus Christ.
Floyd graduated from Cheatham High School in Clarksville, TX. He then went on to attend college at Texas Southern University from 1957-1961. He enlisted in the US Army in 1961.
Floyd worked at Lockheed Martin, where he was a supervisor for 45 years. He received his Barber License in 1975. He also worked as an insurance agent for Herald Life Insurance Company for many years.
Floyd was preceded in death by his mother and father, Louise and Floyd Jones Sr.; his brothers, Otis Jones and Melvin "Buddy" Jones; his sister, Loistene Broadus; and his daughter, Gaylynn Mosley.
Floyd is survived by his son, Kenny (Wendy) Jones; his daughter, Breggitte Jones; his bonus children, Darrell Nash, LuCretia Whitaker and Morris Whitaker; his grandchildren, Kenny Jones Jr, Ja'Den Jones, Harrison Jones, Taijan Matkins, Melvin Cruz, Tavia Cruz, Veronica "Shea" (Marlon) Hill, Rebecca Hall, Britani McGraw, Danell (Lidia) Hall, James (Alexis) Hall, Jeremy Hall, Chris Hall; his (2nd) mother, Vinnie Jones; his sister, Doris Jones (J.O); his aunt, Verice Watkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
A Visitation for Floyd is scheduled for Friday, May 16, 2025, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Aria Funeral Home located at 1820 N. Belt Line Road, Irving, TX 75061.
Floyd's Funeral Service will be on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at Aria Funeral Home located at 1820 N. Belt Line Road, Irving, TX 75061 (the chapel will be open at 10:00 am). Following the service, a funeral procession from the funeral home to the cemetery will take place. Floyd's final resting place will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens located at 3100 White Settlement Road, Ft. Worth, TX 76107 at 1:00 pm.
