Paul John Bowes, age 77, passed away at Medical City Arlington in Arlington Texas on Thursday, September 4, 2025.
Born September 30, 1947, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and a longtime resident of Grand Prairie, Texas, Paul was first and foremost a proud Viet Nam veteran, having served honorably in the United States Army from 1968-1970. He continued to support numerous veterans causes throughout his life. Paul was also a retired Master Carpenter and a Carpenters Union Local 429 member.
Survivors include sister Linda (Richard) Borek, son Richard (Amy) Bowes, daughter Kristine (Karl) Thompson, stepsons Robert (Karina) Brown and Joseph (Mindy) Brown, as well as many beloved grandchildren who lovingly called him Papa Bear, great-grandchildren, nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his stepson Justin Brown and his beloved wife Rosemarie.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00 am at Aria Cremation Service and Funeral Home, 1820 N. Belt Line Road, Irving, TX 75061. A Committal Service for Paul will be at 2:30 pm, Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211. Please arrive no later than 2:10 pm to get in line at the cemetery. Lane #3
Memorial contributions are welcome to any Veterans group of your choice.
