Ajit Sheth

Ajit Sheth passed away on August 19, 2025. Ajit was a loving son, brother, husband, devoted father, cherished uncle, and true friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Panna, and his sons Amit (Chinar), Saumil (Jane), and his granddaughters, Samia, Maya, Manali and Hayden.

Ajit lived life to the fullest. Born in India, he met the love of his life, Panna, before he left India to pursue a Mechanical Engineering degree at Oklahoma State University. Upon graduation, Ajit had a successful career at International Harvester and during that time, Panna came to the USA where they were married and had two boys that grew up in Vernon Hills.

After International Harvester, he was not only a successful entrepreneur, but most importantly he was a great husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. Those who remember him know him for his humor, energy, love of sports and cards, and most importantly the love he had for his family (especially his granddaughters).

Looking back at Ajit's life, we can see his love through the eyes of his family. He was kind, loving, caring, but most importantly he was true to himself. He was always one to lend a hand to anyone who needed help, and never asked for anything in return. His favorite saying, which he created, was "What a Wonderful", and it was a saying that summarized his joy of the world. He reveled in spending time with his friends and family, be it golf, vacation, or a nice bottle of wine. As long as laughs were present, Ajit was ready.

His kindness will always be remembered. His love will always be felt. He will be missed. He was truly a special soul that changed the way we view the world.
