Obituary of Alan Richard DeBellis
Alan Richard DeBellis, known to friends and family as "Al" passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on May 14, 1949, Al led a life characterized by unwavering dedication to his faith, family, and community.
A devout member of the Buffalo Presbyterian Church, Al's involvement extended far beyond the walls of the sanctuary. His role as the local Santa Claus will be remembered for the joy and wonder he brought to the hearts of children and adults alike each Christmas season. Al's love for the outdoors was reflected in his passion for fishing, a leisurely pursuit that provided him with moments of tranquility and reflection. He owned his own restaurant called "There's No Place Like Rome," and after closing his restaurant, was in management of restaurants the rest of his career until retiring. He also took pride in his animals, particularly his current kitties Henry and Lucky, just to name a couple. Badger and Stormi were also a highlight in his life. He also has two Grand kitties that would visit on a regular basis Gizmo and Midnight.
Al's memory is treasured by his loving wife, Tanya, and their children, Daughters Carrie (Curt) Litchke, Kelly (Ryan) Henderson, Cheryl Peterson, Shanna Peterson, Oakley (Kenny) Nyquist, Sierra Jenson, Jenna Jenson, Savanna Jenson, and Son Blake Dellwo. He also leaves behind his brother, Jim (Melanie) DeBellis, Brother-in-Law John Bode, Sister-in-law Amanda Dellwo, and his cherished grandchildren, Heather Dodge, Colton Litchke, Danieletta (Blossom) Scott, Ava Peterson, Jacy Peterson, Kyrstin Henderson, and Rylee Henderson, as well as a Great Grandson Michael Littell, Serenity Hagberg, and Michaela Johnson. He is also survived by a Great-Great Grandson Ezra Litchke-Anderson. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews.
Al is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Arthur and Cecelia DeBellis (Guidarelli), his sister Sue Bode, Granddaughter Amanda Warren, and Great-Great- Grandson Kaiser Littell.
Those who knew Al will forever recall his generous spirit, kind heart, and the gentle way he impacted the lives around him. He will be missed deeply by many, and his legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
Memorial Service will be September 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
