Alan Dyches Obituary
Alan was educated in his early years in Philadelphia, PA and later moved to South Carolina to assist in caring for this father as he was the only one responsible enough for the task. He finished school in South Carolina. The happy moments were accompanied with sorrowful moments between him and his father, but their love for each other was unbreakable. They often shared slim jims, pickled pigs feet, a hunk of cheese, bologna, and cream cookies, and many other snack that they made a meal. His mother was later able to join them when her job concluded.
Alan meet the love of his life for the first time at a traffic light in 1976 in Baltimore, Maryland, and after several chance meetings and finally working at GM together in Louisiana he finally convinced Erlene to date him and later marry in 1983. Together they had a wonderful and full life filled with good meals, travel, fishing and enjoying time together.
Alan loved his model boats and cars and driving them for the neighborhood children to watch. He enjoyed deep sea fishing in the Chesapeake Bay, often time catching and releasing the fish.
In addition to his parents Lee "Bubba" James Dyches and Rosalie Wright Dyches, Alan was preceded in death by his brothers, Elder Lee James Dyches Jr., Grady Dyches, George Mathis; and his sister, Dorothy Hutchison
He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving and attentive wife, Erlene Cooper Dyches; sisters, Sarah Austin and Jeanne Bethume; a brother, Zachary Dyches; Kenneth Coleman and Sherry Coleman who he adored like his own children; nieces and nephews, Lillian Smith, Jquetta, Janari Dyches and Gregory Hutchinson.
