MILLTOWN - ALAN MICHAEL KOMISSAROFF passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 47 years old.
After college, Alan started his career at FOX News Media in 1996, where he rose through the ranks to become a writer, producer, showrunner, and eventually Senior Vice President of News and Politics, overseeing all political coverage. He was a leader and mentor throughout his time working at FOX, playing a crucial role in the daily news operations and election cycle. The recent midterm election coverage was easily considered one of the finest nights of special coverage he produced throughout his career. His sharp sense of humor and quick wit throughout his incredible career also led to many lifelong friendships.
Alan was predeceased in death by his sister, Beth Powers.
Alan is survived by his wife, Rachael, who was his high school sweetheart; his son, Benjamin; his daughter, Olivia and his parents, Carol and Dr. Stephen Wertkin and Louis and Carol Komissaroff.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, at MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
