David Rosenstein, 92, of Monroe Township, NJ, passed away on September 15, 2025.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, to Alexander and Henrietta (née Strauss) Rosenstein. After attending the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences, he served in the Army Armed Forces Entertainment division during the Korean War, entertaining troops in Germany until 1955.

Upon returning to Brooklyn, David met the love of his life, Linda (née Cohen), and they quickly married in 1956. They lived in Brooklyn for 17 years, where they welcomed two children, Mitchell and Robyn. In 1972, the family moved to East Brunswick, NJ, where they lived for 23 years before settling in Monroe Township, NJ, for the past 30 years.

David was a bond broker at Asiel & Company on Wall Street for 44 years, retiring in 2000. Outside of his career, David was an active member of the community. He was involved in the building of the Shore Parkway Jewish Center in Brooklyn, where he also served as president. An avid entertainer, he loved to perform magic tricks, sing, and act. He was also a talented card player and bowler. One of his favorite pastimes was performing as a clown at hospitals and nursing homes with his temple, Congregation Brothers of Israel, often alongside his granddaughters Danielle and Lindsay.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Henrietta Rosenstein, his brother Stanley, and his son Mitchell.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Linda Rosenstein; his daughter, Robyn Trause of Yardley, PA; his grandchildren Dr. Danielle (Paul) King, Lindsay (Daniel) Katz, and Matthew (Dr. Naomi) Trause; and his great-grandchildren, Emerald and George King.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 10:45 am, at United Hebrew Cemetery, 122 Arthur Kill Rd, Staten Island, NY, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, East Brunswick. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
