Alan “Al” H. Lambert, age 85, of Neshkoro, WI passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at his home.

Al was born on August 12, 1938 in Ripon, WI, son of Harry and Loretta (Lieske) Lambert. He graduated from Ripon High School and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army. On August 23, 1958 he married Patricia A. Ehlert. In his early years, Al worked for Speed Queen in Ripon, and later became a land surveyor for over 20 years. Until his retirement in 2001, he enjoyed working as the equipment manager for the Ripon College Athletic Department. After retirement Al worked for Mascoutin Golf Course in the summer, and wintered in Arizona. He started playing golf after working at Mascoutin at the age of 65. Al enjoyed woodworking, stained glass, fishing and gardening. He loved the outdoors and was content doing anything outside. Al was a member of the Neshkoro American Legion and the St. James Catholic Church in Neshkoro.

Al is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Lambert; two daughters, Deborah (Mark) Krause of Ripon, WI and Terri (Kelly) Schwandt of Ripon, WI, a son, Michael (Patty) Lambert of Ripon, WI; two sisters, Roberta Tetzlaff and Linda (Lester) Rabe both of Ripon, WI; four grandchildren, Matthew Schwandt, Katie (Jason) Babich, Michael Lambert, Jr., and Jeremiah (Erin) Lambert; three great-grandsons, Urijah, Colby, and Archer; and five step-grandchildren, Pamela (David), Melissa (Josh), Angie (friend, Jason), Pat (Alicia), and Clark (Becky). He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Loretta Lambert.

A graveside service and inurnment will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 2, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon, WI, with Deacon Jeff Copson officiating. A final salute and full military honors will take place immediately following the graveside service. A memorial in Al’s name is being established.

Al’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of St. Croix Hospice for their wonderful care.
