Alan A. Marian Sr., 74, of Plum, passed away on June 16, 2025, at Forbes Hospital. He was born April 8, 1951, in Johnstown, son of the late Anthony and Erma Louise (Alt) Marian. He was also preceded by his brother, Frederick Marian and his uncle, Walter Marian.
Alan earned his BA in Accounting at Penn State and his MS in Business Administration from Robert Morris. He worked hard for many years as an accountant with Westinghouse and later as an auditor for the U.S. Government. He attended various churches but never settled on just one.
He enjoyed motorsports and car shows, nature walks, trips to all of the Civil War Battlegrounds and day trips on his Harley. Anyone who knew him knows he always liked a bargain and was an avid collector of trinkets.
Alan is survived by his two sons, Alan A. Marian Jr. and Mary, of Penn Trafford, and Gregory C. Marian and Amanda, of Fort Pierce, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Abigail Marian, Anthony Marian, Andrew Marian and Kyleigh Marian; and his great grandchildren: Atleigh Still and Angela White; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Alan will be held privately with his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carnegie Mellon Library, for whom Alan was a fervent supporter.
