MUNCY - Alan R. Neidig, Sr., 61, formerly of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was married on June 19, 1995 to the late Ann M. (Hall) Neidig, who passed away on August 29, 2012.
Alan was born on April 21, 1964 in Williamsport and was the son of the late David C. and Elaine E. (Kase) Neidig, Sr. He had graduated from Bishop Newman High School in 1982. Alan had worked for The Villa for over 30 years as a cook. He was a member of St. Boniface Church and the Harmonia Gesang Verein Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, plants and especially his grandchildren.
Alan is survived by one son; Alan R. Neidig, Jr. of Williamsport, one daughter; Amanda S. Packard (Corey) of Williamsport, four grandchildren; Paisley Neidig, Jack Heydrich, Missha Neidig and Colt McCloskey, three brothers; David C. Neidig, Jr., (Kiflyn) of Muncy, Michael R. Neidig (Kim) of Watsontown and Randy A. Neidig (Cheryl) of New Kingstown, one sister; Christine L. Andrews (Rick) of Houston, Texas and his beloved dog; Zola Marie Neidig. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters; Alicia Hall and Alanna Neidig.
There will be a public viewing 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport. A memorial mass will be held at 10am on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd, Williamsport, PA 17701.
