In Loving Memory of Alan David Robertson, who was born on October 27, 1950, in Bridge of Allan Stirling, Scotland, and peacefully passed away on September 11, 2025, at the age of 74. He was the adored son of the late James and Gladys Robertson, whose warmth and guidance shaped him into the caring individual he became. Alan's deep love for family was evident.

Alan was, above all, a family man who prioritized the needs of his loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Linda Robertson for 33 years. Together, they built a life that exemplified partnership and mutual respect, a true testament to their enduring commitment to one another. Alan was a loving step father of Cendi (Brian) Kegley, Heather Horton, Christina Horton, and Samantha Horton. He was a proud papaw to Alex (Austin) and Gabbi Dahl, who filled his life with immeasurable pride and joy. Alan was a devoted brother to Elizabeth Robertson and Jean (James) Robertson, and his passion for family extended to being a caring uncle to Kanoa Elizondo and Gabriel Connors, as well as a great uncle to Kael Elizondo, Lucas, Brixton, Makenna, and Kaiya Connors. While at times he may have appeared stoic, Alan was, in reality, an incredibly warm-hearted individual. His legacy will forever thrive in the hearts of those who knew him, flourishing through the countless stories shared amongst family and friends.

Alan was a remarkable educator and a pillar of his community. He earned his doctorate and dedicated his professional life to teaching American History at Finneytown Schools, where he ultimately served as Superintendent. Alan was also a passionate soccer coach, leading his team to championships, including a victorious season in 1982. His students and players will remember him not just as a teacher and coach, but as a mentor who inspired them to strive for greatness.

Outside of work, Alan found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid golfer, always ready to hit the course for a day of fun, embracing the camaraderie of friends and the thrill of the game. He also possessed a green thumb, delighting in gardening and the beauty it brought to his home. His love for nature was particularly reflected in his fondness for monarch butterflies, finding peace in their grace and the wonders of the natural world.

In honor of Alan Robertson, a celebration of life will take place on October 10, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Clovernook Country Club, 2035 W. Galbraith Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45239. Friends and family are invited to attend, share memories and reflect on a life that touched so many. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blood Cancer United, PO Box 98011, Washington, DC 20090-8011.

Though he may no longer be with us, Alan's spirit will forever shine brightly in our hearts, as we carry forward the love and laughter he so generously shared with us all.
