Jean E. Harrison

In loving memory of Jean E. Harrison, who was born in Cincinnati, OH, on August 23, 1933 and was the cherished daughter of the late Jerome and Dora Gruber. Jean peacefully passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family. She was a nurturing spirit and a bright light in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her, and her absence will be deeply felt by many.

Jean is now reunited in heaven with her cherished husband of 68 years, Robert Harrison. Together, they created a nurturing and loving home for their children: Dennis (late Joan) Harrison, Vicki (Mike) Murray, Doug (Terry) Harrison, Donald (Shelley) Harrison, and Beverly (Chuck) Addison. A proud grandmother to Craig, Eddie, Lauren, Amanda, and Allison, and a joyful great-grandmother to Brycen, Eddie, and Benjamin, Jean's legacy of love will live on through her family. She also shared a special bond with her late brother, Jerry Gruber, and her twin sister, Joan Capehart.

Jean was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to nurturing her family and supporting them in every way she could. Her warmth and kindness were evident in her love for her grandchildren, whom she actively engaged with as they grew. A lover of life, Jean found joy in every outing with family, Whether it was going out for family dinners or spending afternoons by the pool meeting new friends. Her vibrant spirit also shone through her love of card games, participating in a card club to stay connected with long time high school friends. Her enthusiasm for bowling and being a proud member of the Rosie Reds group, supporting her beloved Cincinnati Reds further reflected her vibrant character.

To celebrate Jean's remarkable life, a visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45239 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in remembering the beautiful moments and the love she shared with us all. Jean Harrison will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family, and her memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. May her legacy of love and kindness forever shine brightly in our lives.
