Alan D. Rowley Jr., beloved husband, father, papa, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 70. Alan, born on May 30, 1955, in Jamestown, NY, was a pillar of strength and the embodiment of kindness to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A devoted family man, Alan's life was enriched by his loving wife of 48 years, Katherine Rowley, and their wonderful children: Tammy (Dennis) Draves, Wendy (James) Potter, Todd (the late Dee) Phillips, and Christopher (Margaret) Phillips. He cherished his role as a patriarch and found immense joy in the company of his grandchildren: Jonathan (Theresa) Draves, Joshua (Alanna) Draves, Kyle (Kristin) Phillips, Lyndsey Phillips, Isabella Phillips, and Lakelyn Brisley, as well as his great-grandchildren Kayleigh Phillips, Johnathan Pezzulo, and Charles Draves. Alan's legacy extends through his family tree, which blossomed under his care and love. Alan is survived by his siblings Barbara Ingerson, Loren (Eileen) Rowley, and Melissa (Paul) Fardink, who, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins, will continue to honor his memory by living out the values he exemplified. He is predeceased by his parents, Alan Rowley Sr. and Nellie Ann (Barrus) Rowley, and his brother David Rowley. An alumnus of Frewsburg Central Schools, Alan's work ethic and dedication were apparent in his three decades of faithful service as a truck driver for Austin Milling, where he delivered feed to grateful customers. His love for farming was not just a job but a passion, one he nurtured at their family farm, Hamlet Hills. Alan's interests were simple yet profound. He found great joy in tractors and tractor pulls, a hobby that reflected both his work on the farm and his playful spirit. His laughter was infectious during hayrides, and his presence was a comforting constant during apple-picking seasons. Alan was a kind, gentle giant affectionately known by all as Big Al-a name that captured both his stature and his heart. We celebrate a life well-lived, and while we mourn the loss of Alan D. Rowley Jr., we also take solace in knowing that he leaves behind a legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts of those he touched. He was a true example of love, dedication, and kindness, and his memory will live on as a beacon of humble strength and endless generosity. Big Al's love story with life will be cherished and remembered by all. A celebration of life will be held at the Cherry Creek VFW 7117 Route 83, Cherry Creek, NY 14723 October 25, 2025 starting at 1PM Arrangements entrusted to DiStasio Funeral Home Inc.
