Alan Lee Siefke, 63, of Fremont, passed away at home surrounded by family on October 22, 2025. He was born in Fremont, Ohio, on August 12, 1962, to Robert Lee and Marilyn (Longanbach) Siefke. He attended Gibsonburg High School.
Alan worked several jobs over the years that he loved, including The Fremont Company specializing in sauerkraut, the Gibsonburg Canning Company, and most recently he was the maintenance man for Ole Zim’s Wagon Shed in Gibsonburg.
When he wasn’t working, Alan loved to go hunting, fishing, and tending the flowers in his garden. During quieter moments, he enjoyed soaking up the sun and getting a tan with his dog, Sandy.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Melissa Shanahan of Elmore; grandson, James Frisinger; siblings, Chuck, Dave, Kevin and Becki Siefke, all of Gibsonburg; mother, Marilyn Siefke of Gibsonburg, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Jane (Quillen) Siefke.
A Celebration of Life will take place November 1, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1187 County Road 128, Fremont, Ohio, 43420.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to his family, c/o Melissa Shanahan.
