Mr. Alan Swicegood, loving husband, devoted father and spectacular grandfather aged 71, of Harriman passed away on Thursday November 7, 2024, at his daughter's home with his grandchildren by his side. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Alan was an Army veteran. He retired from Norfork Southern Railroad and was a member of South Gate Masonic Lodge #569 and Kerbela Shrine Temple. Alan's happiest moments were shared with his grandbabies.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Sharon Swicegood.
Son: Lewie Swicegood.
Parents: William & Bonnie Swicegood.
Brother: Douglas Swicegood.
Father-in-law & mother-in-law: Clifford & Pernia Phillips.
Brother-in-law: Ron Phillips.
He is survived by his daughter: Heather Banken.
Grandchildren: Colton Banken and Daniella Banken.
Brother: David and wife Ann Swicegood, Darrell Swicegood, and Denis Swicegood.
Sisters-in-law: Patsy Swicegood and Margaret Phillips.
As well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday November 12, 2024, at 12:00 noon in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harriman with Father Michael Sweeney officiating. Graveside services will follow in Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood.
