Alba Orbin "Ras" Brown

Mr. Alba Orbin "Ras" Brown, 87, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Choctaw County, AL on Thursday, October 27, 1938, to the late Eligiah Alba Brown and Audrievee Stokley Brown. Mr. Brown served in the United States Army National Guard. He was a member of Coyt Baptist Church. He retired as a Pumper in the Oil Field.

Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his father, Eligiah Alba Brown; mother, Audrievee Stokley Brown; stepmother, Hazel Lofton Brown; sister, Anna Marie Heathcock; grandson, Brandon Jacob Brown. He is survived by loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Ilean Brown; two sons, Glenn Brown (Terri) and Jamie Brown (Tammie); daughter, Kristy Seawright (Scott); two brothers, Homer Brown and Tommy Brown, all of Waynesboro, MS; six grandchildren, Matt Brown, Kayleigh McIlwain, Braelyn Marshall, T.J. Brown, Colby Brown, and Raven Seawright; 13 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service for Mr. Brown will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 30, 2026, at Coyt Cemetery in Wayne County, MS with Rev. Jim Koen officiating. Interment will be in Coyt Cemetery in Wayne County, MS. Pallbearers are Colby Brown, T.J. Brown, Tony Brown, Nick McIlwian, Adam Brown, and LeeRoy Odom.
