Albert "Al" Noe Baca, age 92 of Mathiston, MS passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was born on July 24, 1932, in Los Angeles, CA to John W. Baca and Esther Isabel Chavez Baca. Mr. Baca was a retired accountant and a U.S. Navy veteran. In the Navy he served as a radio operator on the U.S.S. George Clymer. During his accounting career, he was employed by international oil companies in California, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Louisiana, and by several state mental health centers in Mississippi. In his retirement, he enjoyed turkey hunting, traveling with his wife, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Starkville, MS. Al is survived by two sons, Keith Baca, Mathiston, MS and Kevin (Keely) Baca, Sherwood, OR and four grandchildren, Ethan (Ashley) Baca, Kristina Baca, Lauren Baca and Sean Baca. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dolores Womack Baca; parents John W. Baca and Esther Isabel Chavez Baca and a brother, John D. Baca. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home from 5:00PM until 7:00PM and on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 9:00AM until time for services at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston, MS. Father Jason Johnston will conduct Mass. Pallbearers will be Keith Baca, Kevin Baca, Ethan Baca, Mac Gill, Link Nason and George McBride. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is entrusted with arrangements and honored to serve the Baca family.
