Albert James Cain (Jim), 91, of Westminster, Colorado, passed peacefully into eternal life on December 9, 2023, surrounded by close family.
Jim was born on June 13, 1932, in McCook, Nebraska to Albert and Osie (Gorden) Cain, and grew up in McCook, NE and Denver, CO. After graduating from High School, Jim joined the Navy. Jim was a part of the Naval Aviation where he worked on planes during the Korean War. Jim had a huge heart, warming smile, and a love for telling stories. He fiercely loved his dogs and family, and especially wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He married his wife Cora (Stumpf) Cain in 1959, and they had two children, Patrick (Michelle) Cain Sr., and Stephanie Cain.
Throughout his life, Jim had a fondness for cars. After serving in the Navy, he started working at General Motors, which was a perfect job for a Chevy guy. Jim also shared a passion for entrepreneurship and together with his wife Cora, owned liquor stores and a security and home entertainment installation company. In addition to his family and friends, Jim loved the outdoors, traveling, skiing, music, and of course computers and technology.
He is survived by his wife Cora; daughter-in-law Michelle Cain; grandchildren Alicia (Tyler) Stanworth, Zach Cain Johme, and Emily Cain; great grandchildren Dylan and Marley Stanworth; Sisters Joan Cain, and Mary (Robert) Earley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Patrick and daughter Stephanie.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 29th at 10:30am at Holy Name Catholic Parish in Denver. Rosary to precede at 10:00am. Burial ceremony at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver at 3:30pm.
