In his downtime, you could find him relaxing in his recliner watching his favorite episodes of Bonanza. He held a true passion for cooking and enjoyed being able to cook for family and friends. AP used his love for cooking as an opportunity to always bring his family together. He shared his passion for cooking with his daughter, Ashley, where they never missed the opportunity to prepare Shug's pecan cake for each and every holiday gathering. AP was an avid outdoorsman and member of the Atchafalaya Hunting Club, where he enjoyed hunting, running dogs, frogging and traveling with his wife, Sarah. His love for being outdoors came natural to him, after spending his entire life along the bayou. He was a man of a few words, but worth listening to when he spoke. More often than not, if he was talking, he was telling a joke, anything to provoke laughter or a smile. AP was at his best when surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. They meant the world to him, and he never missed the opportunity to let each of them know how much he loved them. AP was a gentle giant when it came to his grandchildren, or "Pawpaw's babies," as he called them. He enjoyed taking them on patrols or taking them to Carbo's his favorite place to eat, outside of Piccadilly of course. AP had a smile that could light up any room and a contagious laugh that was guaranteed to make anyone smile. He was kindhearted, generous and loyal, well-loved by all who knew him, and will be forever in our hearts.
