Albert DiGiorgio

November 15, 1929 – June 26, 2025

Albert DiGiorgio beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away peacefully of natural causes on June 26, 2025 at the age of 95.

Born on November 15, 1929, in Minturno, Italy, Albert immigrated to the United States as a young boy after WWII, arriving in Brooklyn, NY. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

In 1957, he married the love of his life, Antoinette DiGiorgio (nee DiIorio), and together they began their family in Garwood, NJ. In 1970, they moved to Mountainside, NJ, where Albert lived for more than 20 years and built a legacy of hard work, community, and family.

Albert was the owner and president of a successful paving company, D&F Paving, Inc., where he worked for over three decades, retiring in 1991. After retiring, he enjoyed a

quieter life in Florida before returning North – first to Verona, NJ with his daughter, Janet, and most recently living with his daughter, Marie, in Rockport, MA.

Albert was a man of many talents: a master gardener, a gifted chef, and a gracious host. He achieved excellence at anything he set his mind to, including stained glasswork,

woodworking, and stonework. He believed in the joy of family, the power of hard work, and the simple pleasures of a well-cooked meal. He loved to welcome friends and family to his table. By his own words, he lived a full and wonderful life surrounded by those he loved.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Antoinette DiGiorgio and second wife, Judith

DiGiorgio. He is survived by his loving daughters: Marie DiGiorgio, Janet Sullivan (Sean); his grandchildren: Annie Finkle (Adam), Patrick Sullivan, Erin Sullivan, Sean Sullivan, Connor Sullivan; and his cherished great grandson, Rory Finkle.

Albert's warmth, generosity, and legacy of love will live on in the many lives he touched.

Per his wishes, a private service in his honor will be held with his children and

grandchildren. Expressions of sympathy can be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. www.stjude.org/donate
