Albert Glenn Hatfield, age 95, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at home and surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 17, 1930 to Ed and Emma Hatfield in Welch, West Virginia, Albert (known as Al) lived a life defined by his unwavering faith in God, deep kindness, and a steadfast commitment to service. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps before dedicating his career to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, where he worked as a respected foreman.
Al was married to the love of his life, Eleanor Patricia Hatfield (Pat), for 71 years - a testament to enduring devotion and partnership. Together they built a family rooted in love, integrity and strength.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Pat, his daughter Deborah and her husband Darrell, granddaughters Emilie and her husband Steve, Roxana and her wife Sasha, and great-granddaughters Lily, Chloe and Rylie. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel.
Al's presence was a quiet but powerful force in the lives of those who knew him. He will forever be remembered for his faith, humility and deep care for others.
Al will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held on July 5, 2025 at the family home. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Albert, please visit our Tree Store.
