Albert Josey of Texarkana, Arkansas, accepted the privilege of eternity on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the enlightened age of 76. Mr. Josey was born on August 23, 1949, to the delighted parents of Albert and Lillie Scott Josey.

Albert was a skillful graduate of San Angelo Central High School, which led to a lasting career at General Telephone & Electronics (GTE), where he worked as a lineman for over 27 years before retiring. Never one to sit around, Albert launched a new profession specializing in long-haul truck driving for Josey Transport. This adventure allowed him to see this great country while participating in ensuring the delivery of essential goods throughout America. This was just another example of his faithfulness in providing for his family and others. Honorably, when his beautiful wife could benefit from his presence, he voluntarily stopped driving to assist in her care.

December 3, 1977, is a date we all cherish because it marks the union of Albert and Willie Evelyn Josey. It took death to separate them after 40 years, and now the opportunity to reunite has finally appeared. Willie Evelyn had two young girls, Vernell and Venessa, before this marriage, and later had two more joys: Albertina and Donald. Albert's composed demeanor and intelligence positively influenced the family atmosphere and fostered expressions of love.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife, his son, Donald Josey, his parents, and his siblings (Donald Josey and Cecil Josey). He is survived by his siblings: Clayvon Josey, Billy Josey, Donna Mottwiller, Ella Opara, and Annie Gray; his children: Vernell Batton, Venessa Harris (Garland), and Albertina Josey; grandchildren: Jarred Forrest, Brittany Lacy, Garland Harris Jr (Brie), Danisha Harris, Angela Harris, Donald Josey Jr, Purity Josey, and April Josey; great-grandchildren: Jarrell Forrest, Cherydan Forrest, Serenity Forrest, Chantail Davis, Willow Cigainero, Storii Bird, Andrew Roberts, Bella Williams, Niland Harris, Amari Petty, Kai Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Albert's memory will be cherished by his family and all who knew him.
