Albert Lepper Jr.

Albert "Bert" Donald Lepper Jr., age 51, of Drummond Island, Michigan, died at his home, on November 30, 2023. He was born on March 21, 1972, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to Albert Donald Sr. and Cynthia Marie (Makarewicz) Lepper.
Bert grew up in Wyandotte and graduated from Southgate Anderson High School, in 1990. He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country for four years, as well as serving in the National Guard for twenty years. Bert worked for Chrysler as an auto mechanic for twenty years. He then moved to Drummond Island and enjoyed his life of hobbies there.
Bert enjoyed fishing, golfing, hiking, and tinkering with automobiles. He also loved spending time with his dogs and cats and enjoyed playing and watching football.
Bert was a volunteer for the Drummond Island Fire Fighters.
Bert is survived by his son, Desmond Lepper of San Antonio, Texas; father, Albert Donald Lepper Sr. of Drummond Island; sisters, Carrie Lepper and Karrie Jo Freeman of Drummond Island; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles who will all miss him dearly.
Bert was preceded in death by his mom, Cynthia Lepper.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 18, 2024, at the Northwood Restaurant on Drummond Island beginning at 2 PM.
A Military Service will be held at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Southgate, Michigan at a later time.
