Albert Lewis, Jr., 77, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Albert Lewis was born on January 25, 1947, in Wetumpka, Alabama, to the late Albert Lewis, Sr., and Gladys Blackburn Lewis. A man of simple joys and deep connections, Albert cherished life’s little pleasures. Whether casting a line on a quiet lake or taking the boat out for a peaceful ride, the water was his sanctuary. He had a hearty appetite for both good food and good company, often enjoying eating meals out with loved ones. Albert’s Chevy truck wasn’t just a mode of transportation—it was a trusted companion and a reflection of his love for the open road. Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved grandchildren, who brought light and laughter to his days.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his siblings, Hazel Page, Charlie Lewis, Willie Lewis, Martha Lewis and Diane Gunter.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 49 years, Rhonda Flowers Lewis; stepdaughter, Sherry L McCullum; grandchildren, Dalton Dismuke and Taylor “Gracee” Maye; siblings, Alma Cooley, Frankie Jackson, Billy Lewis and Richard Lewis; and nephews, Bryson and Brandon, along with many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Magnolia Park Cemetery where Albert will be laid to rest.
