Albert Lee "Bob" Newill, 76, Shelbyville, died Sunday, August 24, 2025 at the Hosparus In-Patient Care Unit in Louisville following a long illness. A native of Mt. Pleasant, PA, Bob was the son of the late Marion and Frances Weitzel Newill. He attended college and also trade school for tool and die. His employment included tenure with The Budd Company, Wise Industries, Anson Stamping and Shelby Industries. In his leisure time, he enjoyed shopping and watching Fox News. Bob had a very giving spirit and would often provide generous gifts to his neighbors. Bob made friends wherever he went or worked. He was a long-time member of First Christian Church in Shelbyville.

In addition to his parents, two sisters, Norma Jean Patterson and Frances Margret "Peggy" Kalp, and three brothers, Nevin, Douglas and Dennis Newill, and a special brother-in-law, Gilbert Overly, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Maria Grazia Newill; his son, Albert L. "Bobby" Newill of Alabama; his daughters, Jennifer Newill of North Carolina and Amanda and Carla Newill, both of Pennsylvania; two stepsons, Kenneth Plummer of South Carolina and James Plummer (Michelle) of Pennsylvania; his stepdaughter, Mary Grace Shawley (Robert) of Pennsylvania; his sister, Patricia Louise Overly of Ohio; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been selected in accordance with his wishes. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Webb Funeral Home with visitation after 11 a.m. Rev. Tracy Parker will officiate. The cremated remains will be privately interred later.
