Corren "Cory" Alexander Brenner, 48, Charlestown, IN and formerly of Shelbyville, died Monday, September 29, 2025 unexpectedly at his home. A native of Shelbyville, he was the son of Bobbie Smith Brenner and the late John W. Brenner. He was a graduate of Shelby County High School and obtained his associates degree in mechanical engineering. He enjoyed playing football throughout his high school years. He previously worked for Martinrea Heavy Stamping as a tool and die maker and had most recently worked for Spectrum. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending time with his daughter, listening to music, working on cars and creating with his 3D printer. Cory was very mechanically inclined and also very creative. He was Christian by faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Emalyne "Emmy" Jones of Shelbyville; his mother, Bobbie Brenner (Herky) of Charlestown, IN; his sister, Gretchen Brenner Davis of Pensacola, FL; his niece, Alexis Stanifer of Lexington; two nephews, Leef Davis (Paige) of Shelbyville and Gabriel Davis of Pensacola, FL; his Pops, Jeff Smith (Diane) of Seymour, IN and his beloved cats, Dexter and Leelou.

Cremation has been selected in accordance with his wishes. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2025 at Webb Funeral Home with visitation after 12 p.m. The cremated remains will be privately interred later.

Flowers are welcome, and expressions of sympathy may be made to the funeral home for the establishment of a scholarship fund for his beloved daughter, Emalyne Jones.
