Albert Rambo, or Sweet Back as he was affectionately called, was born October 15th,1942 to the union of Emmanuel and Lizzie Rambo in Ringgold, Louisiana. He was the youngest sibling of 12.
He was preceded in death by his parents Emmanuel and Lizzie Rambo, five sisters Geneva Fisher, Lula B. love, Jessie B. Johnson, Delleaner Roberson, and Lottie B. Marks.
Albert confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of Saint Luke's #1 in Ringgold, Louisiana. He later relocated to Kansas City Missouri and was a member of Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church. He was a faithful member of the usher board and male chorus. He remained a member until his health began to fail.
Upon relocation, he was employed at Morgan Foundry, Lake City Ammunition Plant and retired from Sysco Foods. He was married three times and although he never had any biological kids, he was a father to many.
During his spare time, he loved to go fishing with his sister Erma, play dominoes, and his Friday night card games. He also loved spending time with his family and dancing to one of his favorite songs "The Choking Kind".
Albert Rambo departed this life on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at The Kansas City Hospice House.
He leaves to cherish his memory three sister: Irma Mae Simmons, Lizzie Mae Ashley, Glossie Ree Love; three brothers: Reverend Emmanuel Rambo, Reverend Julius Rambo (Louise), and Edward Rambo (Patricia) all of Kansas City, Missouri; an uncle, DeRoy Rambo of (New Orleans, LA), a God daughter, Manisha Love, a special nephew James Love and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022,11:00am at Sunlight MBC. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9am-11am at the church. Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
