Horan & McConaty Funeral Service & Cremation - Southwest Denver/LakewoodAlbert E. Rhein, Sr., age 93, passed peacefully in Lakewood, CO, on August 25, 2025.
He touched many lives with his love, wisdom, humor, and unwavering spirit of perseverance. He was a passionate husband, father, and grandfather. His love and devotion to his spouse, children, and grandchildren were his driving force for living. He would light up with joy when surrounded by his family.
He was born January 24, 1932, served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1952, and married Geraldine Whitcomb on November 28, 1953. Albert is survived by 99 family members: eight children, Jean, Joseph, Mary, Susan, Albert, Thomas, Timothy, and Christopher, their spouses, 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Albert's funeral will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80227 (Live Streaming will be available for those who cannot attend) https://bxcited.com/albert-rhein/. The burial will be at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial tree or plant would be a living, lasting tribute that honors Albert's life by growing and providing beauty and environmental benefits for years to come.
