Albert Ray Warren was born in Camden, SC, to William Roosevelt Warren and Lurena Bolden Warren on May 29, 1956. His time on Earth came to an end on May 17, 2025.
He is a member of the Camden High School class of 1974, Camden, SC. Albert enlisted in the U.S. Army shortly after graduating from high school. He served in the Army for twenty-two years. Among his many accomplishments is a proud graduate of Coker College, now Coker University, Hartsville, SC, in 2013, with a B.S. in Sociology/Criminology. He was an avid basketball player in high school and the Army. Albert was an Airborne Ranger, and served with the 3rd Armored Division in Fort Hood, TX. He was a karate expert. Albert worked with the S.C. Department of Corrections and the Kershaw County Recreation Department with the Summer Playground program. He won many championships while coaching girls and boys at the Kershaw County Recreation Department. (KCPAR). Albert was a member of Edwards Chapel AME Zion Church serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Stewardess Board, Leader of Leaders, Delegate to the Districts and Annual Conferences, Men of Varick, Sunday School Teacher, Transition Ministry Group, Choir, Bus Driver, Vacation Bible School, and a member of the Quarterly Conference to name a few.
Albert leaves to mourn one son, Anthony Warren, long-loving friend and companion, Edwina Burnett Murphy, three brothers, William, Frank (Kim), Ken, four sisters, Mechelle (Sonny), Marvella Eley (Milton), Sharvella Outten, Robyn Warren all of Camden. Albert is preceded in death by one brother, Michael Warren, along with his parents William Roosevelt Warren and Lurena Bolden Warren and niece Jasmine Eley. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

I Grew up on the opposite end of Campbell St., and used to visit the Warren's on occassion, since the elder brother William and I were classmates in our early school years. I remember the fun times we had, and I offer my sincere condolences, and prayers for the family.
