Mr. Albert Williams was born on May 6, 1944 in Ripley,Tennessee to Johnnie B. Smith (Arkansas) and Charlie Williams (Kansas City, Mo). Albert passed away at My Michigan Health in Saginaw, Michigan on December 25, 2025 at the age of 81 years.

Albert had a humble spirit. He loved his family and would do what he could to help them become self-sufficient and independent individuals (even if it meant tough love). During his spare time, he liked to go fishing, watch boxing, certain cartoons and cowboy movies. He also liked to repair automobiles, doing carpentry and yard work. In his younger days, he enjoyed attending karate classes.

Albert worked at GM-Powertrain Saginaw, Grey Iron Foundry Div. for 32 years and he was a member of UAW Local 668. He received an Automotive Service Specialist Certificate from Delta College, he continued his knowledge in this field of study and received a Mobile Engine Service and Vehicle Maintenance Diploma at Advance Trade School, Inc.

He leaves to cherish memories, a daughter, Lisa Williams; granddaughters, Alicia Williams and Antwanique (Tay) Williams-New; grandsons, Jayden Williams and Jacyceon New; bonus children, Alice Harrold, John Jackson, Margaret Johnson "Bay-Bay", Darnell Nickleberry and Wayne Jones; many bonus grandchildren and countless nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Albert Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie; parents, Johnnie B. Smith and Charlie Williams; brothers, LC, JB, Roscoe, Charles and Alton Nelson; sisters, Annistine Nelson-Jones and Ethelene Nelson-Owens; friends, Earnestine Goodman and Myrra Wilson; bonus daughter and son, Angela "Sug" Miree and Harry Strong.

The family would like to thank My Michigan Health, University of Michigan doctor's and staff, and his aide Cheryl Cooper.

Visitation only will take place on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Interment will take place in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 7475 Holland Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601
